The Story Behind Ottawa's Refill Store

District Refill was born out of a simple idea: sustainable living shouldn't be complicated. Founded by Julie Dorion, a longtime Ottawa entrepreneur, owner of Red Wagon Studio (Graphic Design), and the creator of Undercarriage Deodorant, District Refill is a refillery and gathering space dedicated to making eco-friendly, non-toxic living accessible to everyday people. Located at 107 Colonnade Rd in Ottawa, we offer refillable hair care, body care, laundry, cleaning, and kitchen and bathroom essentials, sourced entirely from Canadian makers.

We believe small changes add up. That's why we partner with Pure, a Canadian company built on a closed-loop refill system, so the containers our products come in get reused again and again instead of ending up in a landfill. You shouldn't have to choose between what works and what's actually good for you. Come refill, come browse, come ask us anything. We're here to make going greener feel doable, not overwhelming.
